A Denver Guide For Out-of-State Brides: How to Help Your Guests Make the Most of Their Stay

Denver, Colorado is the perfect combination of city and mountain life, creating a diverse atmosphere that works for any type of wedding, whether it be modern and chic or rustic and picturesque (or anything in between!) The best time to plan a fun weekend getaway to the Mile High City is between June and September. (Coincidentally, these are also the most popular months to plan a wedding!) The weather is beautiful, the sun is shining and you are safe (for the most part!) from the winter storms.

Where To Stay

If your guests want to be in the center of the action, look no further than the LoDo (Lower Downtown) and RiNo (River North) districts. Both areas are full of bars, local restaurants and the eclectic culture that Denver is known for. You're not far from Coors Field if you and your besties want to grab seats at a Rockies game! Coors Field is known not only for the stadium itself, but also for its amazing panoramic views of the Front Range.

Another must-see neighborhood is LoHi (Lower Highlands). This area is full of craft bars and restaurants. You can’t go wrong with LoHi if you're looking for excitement yet a quaint, neighborhood feel. You're also within walking distance to Linger, which has one of the best rooftop “frozés” in town!

The possible activities and places to explore in Denver truly seem endless, but we did our best to include all of our favorite places and some of the most popular “must sees” in the city. There is so much more to explore outside of Denver as well. In just one hour you can be in the heart of the mountains taking in the beauty of Colorado with hikes, rafting, camping and more! We definitely recommend extending your stay for a couple days and exploring as much of Colorado as you can!
